 Career Front: Hotel Management Industry 10/11/2008
  Invitation of the Guest of the October month in Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir was accepted by Mr. Amit Mehta. He is a thorough professional with MBA in Hotel Management, engineering degree and currently pursuing studies in Law. He works with the TATA group of Industries. The term Innovation was explained by him in initial talks wonderfully with the help of video and the boys were delighted with a detailed focus on TATA’s Nano project. Audience was informed about the Tata owned i.e. The Taj Group of hotels, The Gateway Group of hotels and the Ginger group of hotels. The Ginger group is a 2/3 star category hotels and is similar to Nano concept in the field of hotels. It provides a cheap price, but with high quality 5 star facility. For that purpose they have reduced some facilities like no bell boy, no high-tech health club, small meeting room, single restaurant instead of multi restaurants etc.They also have added some facilities only for the needs and necessities of the common man. They currently have 15 hotels allover India and abroad. It is really economical. Students got the guidance on future career in hotel management and their queries were resolved.  XI Commerce & FMM Students visited SBI Bank 10/4/2008
  The students of XI commerce & FMM went to State Bank of India, Bhayander Branch along with the Accounts teacher Ms. Anagha Prabhu for an educational visit on 4th October 2008. This gave the students an exposure for learning in practical way about banking transactions. All the students left the school to know the whereabouts of the Banking world. FMM students are having Banking transactions & operation in detail in their 11th as well as 12th CBSE curriculum. The commerce students also have basic about types of bank account, crossing of cheque, endorsement, dishonor, Bank Reconciliation Statement etc. The Branch Manager Mr. N.D. Boricha along with the other staff members was ready to give briefing about transactions in the bank. The introductory speech about activities of State Bank of India, history and present status of working was explained by the Branch Manager. The Customer Relation Managers Mr. Upadhyay, Mr. Ashok Prabhu, Mrs. Nandedkar were the people who explained various concepts like Net Banking, Corporate Banking, Loan Facilities , etc. Students were having queries related to endorsement of cheque, insurance, mutual funds and cheque bounce these queries were resolved by the SBI staff. The actual demonstrations with simple examples gave a broad outline about commercial banking to the students. This was a direct way of learning through which boys got to know many practicalities about banking profession. By: Commerce Team.
 Celebration of FMM Day 9/15/2008
  Department of Commerce (D.O.C), Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir celebrated FMM Day on 10 th September 2008. The objective was to spread awareness among students and teachers. Ram Ratna is the third in Mumbai and fifth in Maharashtra for conducting CBSE Financial Markets Management in XI-XII standard. Principal didi was presented with a card made by 11th FMM students as an invitation. All the five students were preparing rigorously for making presentations on Share Price Analysis. Students were guided by their teachers for collecting the data for 20 days, putting the data in tabular form, representing it graphically. This effort was made to improve the analytical as well as communicative skills of the students. Competition was arranged for the students to improve their potential as a professional in financial market. Students collected details of five companies, objectives, future plans & the daily share price fluctuations were recorded by them. Conclusions were made to denote how to find a company giving highest and stable return on investment. Principal didi, School Administrator Mr. D.K. Ghadi Sir, Mathematics HOD Mr. Dilip Das Sir were the judges for the competition. Judgments were given based on the basis of content, selection of matter, presentation, expression and overall effect of narrator.  IMPACT OF RRVM ON SWADESHI BAL MELA 8/30/2008
  The Swadeshi Bal Mela at Goregoan Sports Complex on 17th August 24, 2008 was attended by CCA Incharges Mr. Rupendra Kumar Singh (HOD Social Science) and Mr. Utpal Chandra (HOD IT). The teachers also attended the seminar on vocational guidance for students by Mr. Nilesh Gaikwad Director of Vyas Creations. One of our teacher Mr. Rupendra was invited by Mr. Vyas to give a lecture on Career Guidance for about 45 minutes. Mr. Utpal Chandra talks to public about Nano Technology. All appreciated the talk. They were also given opportunity to felicitate the participants in the mela. Mr. Vyas suggested to organize this type of mela in our school campus.
 YOGA WORKSHOP 8/30/2008
  The essence of Yoga is of paramount importance for the cause of good health which is highly acclaimed and proved better to any such solution world wide India has pride and proud of it. It’s our inheritance. Our forefathers have handed it over to us for ages. While the world is putting its efforts to innovate and discover different vaccines and medicines in alopathy which definitely result in side-effects, we Indians have proved the most powerful solution of complete fitness not only of body but also of soul. Yoga helps in improving the conditions of human health inner out. Yoga Gurus have proved its being at apex to any other health related cures. Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir being esteemed institution to give students whatever that will shape their mind to be spiritually and physically sound has a tradition to take initiative in arranging and conducting of such programmes in school. We have conducted a Yoga week in our institution. It was for students as well as teachers too. The Week was a great success. The positive improvement has been observed in the attitude and physical standard of the participants. They are benefited a lot. They say,” It is an excellent experience”. Because of it the inner-out soundness of mind and body developed to a great extent, even it was taught to us how to use both the parts of the brain which only Yoga can prove. In this materialistic world of mental and body stress even the students feel these stresses. To overcome these impending fatal problems that can not be diagnosed apparently, one should seek the help of Yoga. Yoga is the ultimate solution without a single hidden side-effect. Our institution as its tradition, took an initiative to see that our students avail this great boon. The school gives thanks to Mr. Suresh Jadhav, of Geeta Parivar, the veteran yoga expert for his great contribution in teaching yoga to the students; he became the cause for shaping our minds and bodies with celestial purity.  Guest Lecture on Financial Market 8/24/2008
  Mr. Ritesh Badjatya , a well versed person from the field of Financial Market visited the school on August 23, 2008 as the guest of the month . Students from XI & XII commerce & Science attended the Guest Lecture in the Conference hall of the school. Mr. Ritesh is a senior Equity dealer-institution at SPA securities Limited, a financial advisory firm which has an office at Nariman Point, Mumbai. He explained the need and importance of financial market. He threw light on various types of financial markets- Debt market, Equity market, Stock Market, derivatives market, commodities market etc. He discussed about careers in Stock market, Mutual funds. In simple language the Regulatory framework in India was elaborated to the students. He gave a brief on the authorities who give assurance to the investors about the safety of funds & to the corporate for risk bearing like Reserve Bank of India, SEBI, Association of Mutual Funds of India and FMC. Various terminologies from the world of Finance were explained with the help of examples by him. All XI & XII the commerce as well as science students attended the lecture with great enthusiasm. At the end of the session queries were resolved related to the topic interactively among the speaker and students. A brief summary was given by Master Kinshuk Tripathi (XII Sci). As a token of love School Captain Master Suryateja Reddy presented a bouquet and a school memento was given to the guest by Principal. It was a very informative session which gave insights about making everybody aware about growth of money. We are thankful to our Principal Didi for the arrangement and opportunity. -By Commerce Team
 Knowing Futures and Options of NSE 8/8/2008
  On 8th August 2008, 12th and 11th Commerce (along with FMM) accompanied by Mr. Sanjay Nandi, Ms. Anagha Prabhu, Mr. Dinesh Singh and Mr.Vinit Chaturvedi went for educational tour to National Stock Exchange, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. Stock Markets experts Mr. Sunil Gore & Mr. Arvind Goyal from NSE gave brief on the trading in Cash Market, Future Market and Options. Terms used in the transactions like spot price, arbitrage, hedging, short selling were explained in simple way with the help of day to day examples with diagrams through power point presentations. Live demonstration was given to make the students aware about how trading takes place on the terminals of NSE. It was an excellent opportunity for learning basics of Stock market. - Commerce Team.
 Economic Way Ahead 7/22/2008
  XII Commerce students along with Faculty members – Mr. Sanjay Nandi (HOD Commerce), Ms. Anagha Prabhu & Mr. Dinesh Singh went to the Indian Merchants Chamber on 11th, 2008 to participate in the seminar on “Prospects for US economy – Implications for India”. All were delighted to get such an opportunity to attend such an informative session on present issues in commerce and trade. This was a memorial Lecture organized by IMC as an initiative to create awareness among the research people, students and members of commerce field about the current developments in world economy. Dr. Mukul Asher, Professor of Public policy, National University, Singapore gave lecture on the prospects of economy. He is a well known figure in the economic field. He is consultant to IMF & conducted many lectures world wide. He discussed and shown the presentation through which focus was made on comparison with developed & developing countries, their infrastructure & human resources. He stressed upon the need to conserve the resources & plan in a sound way for facing the crunch in future. Mr. Kumar Ketkar, editor of daily Loksatta, was the chief guest for the seminar. He is a known as ‘fearless journalist’ & recipient of various state as well as national awards such as Padmashri, Rajiv Gandhi Award etc. An interactive question – Answer session was followed in which various other issues like impact of I.T. , inflation, Housing policy, growth in GDP, pollution, energy and credit crisis was discussed. As a concluding remark we can say that, India’s responsibility to take up the challenges was thoroughly discussed.  Industrial Visit to Ankleshwar 4/12/2008
  Class XI Commerce & Science students of Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir went for an educational industrial visit to Ankleshwar from 8/04/2008 to 11/04/2008 accompanied by Teaching faculty members Mr. Sanjay Nandi, Mr. Dinesh Singh, Mr. Utpal Kumar Chandra ,Mrs. Jaya Parekh and Ms. Anagha Prabhu. They visited J.P. Industries, Patkar Extrusions Ltd., Dorik Plastochem Ltd, Navdeep Chemicals Pvt. Ltd situated in Ankleshwar, Gujarat. The purpose of the visit was to show the practical utilization of bookish theories & interdependency of all subjects.
 Door Step Of C.A. 3/8/2008
  The Students of Class XI commerce with Mr. Sanjay Nandi ( H-O-D Commerce) and Ms. Anagha Prabhu ( Accounts Teacher) went to Mittal Court for an interactive session & as a part CPT and to give them an exposure at Nariman point (D.
